Fritz & Jean Anderson

After graduating from Brandon HS, I attended the University of Minnesota where I graduated in 1961 with a business degree.  I worked 5 years in public accounting and earned my CPA license.  From ’66 through ’87, I had positions with several firms primarily in general management roles.

In late ’87, Jean and I relocated to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where we ultimately purchased a small business we renamed Anderson & Associates.  We digitized embroidery designs for the ad specialty and golf apparel industries.  We ended the business in ’06 and returned to Minnesota in ’08 when we purchased our present home in Red Wing.

We enjoy golfing, woodworking, quilting and friends, both old and new.   We are both involved with the Red Wing Art Association and I’m on the board of the local housing and redevelopment authority.

Jean and I have three children, Todd, Linda and Kevin
plus two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Dennis & Chris ( Goering ) Korkowski retirement trucking

In the last couple of days, we made a trip to Ankeny Iowa,(1000 mile round trip) to pick up a John Deere sprayer.  This was an oversized load and weighed 30,654 pounds.  We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable, air conditioned sleeper.

Many huge chains and straps are needed to secure

such a large load.

Chris showing off !

When we arrived back in Brandon with this sprayer,

another trucker was waiting to take it the rest of

the way to Alberta Canada.

Kenny Bettermann

Here I am in Panama City Beach, Florida in 2012. I have stayed here for the past two winters…January-February-March.

My sister, Janet on the right, across the table is her husband, Jim.  I’m at the far end of the table along with friends from Minneapolis in Panama City Beach.

This is a trip to Door County:  Harry & Kenny Bettermann, Willie & Hilda Bettermann, Jim and Janet (Bettermann) Slater with Floyd & Frannie Foslien.

This is my wife, Bobbie and I in 1982 at Don Ho’s Restaurant on Oahu, Hawaii.  Bobbie passed away September 11, 2010.

Here we are in Augsburg, Germany while visiting our son Brian while he was stationed there with the Army in 1981.

This is my son, Brian and I in the Augsburg area.

One of my favorite fall enjoyments ... with a successful deer hunting  season in 1986.

This is my front yard where I built this raised flower bed.

My granddaughters, Brittney and Tiffany, who are both planning to go into nursing.  They are attending Anoka High School.

Jim & Dorothy Anderson Family

It sure is nice to be able to continue to work after a tough year.  It all started Thanksgiving 2011 when I had a ruptured appendix and spent a week in the hospital.  A week after returning home had to go back to the hospital for a few more days.
Then in February 2012 had surgery on my back in Saint Cloud and in April I had a total hip replacement.  Then in May I guess, my wife Dorothy thought it was time I took care of her.  She fell at Target Field at a Twins game.  She had surgery at HCMC for a broken leg and dislocated ankle, so the summer was spent recuperating for both of us.

I still do some plumbing and heating.

I like to keep busy with my scrap iron business and do some backhoe work.

Our son, Jimmy and daughter, Sandy with their children.  It’s nice to spend time with the four grandkids, especially teaching the grandsons to run the backhoe and skid loader.

We do much traveling for family gatherings to stay connected with them.
