David and Florence (Bettin) Hvezda

Dave and I were married in 1958.  We have four children--all are good citizens, independent and successful.  We have four grandchildren and they were raised well and are independent.  One grandson is in the Marines--defending our country.  We have one great-grandchild.

Dave retired many years ago.  I still work most days of the week but am fortunate enough to be able to tell them when I'm going to be gone for a day or several days.

We have gone to Phoenix about Feb 15th to Mar 15th for the last 6 years.  After that month of lazing around, we are both ready to come back to Minnesota to more of a routine (it’s usually still winter!).

I was excited to be asked to sew this wedding dress for my granddaughter even though it created more gray hair.

My granddaughter, Andrea and daughter, Jeanne—don’t they look like they could be sisters?

They have been on several cruises and have traveled to many cities in the US.  In the summer months, they enjoy spending time at their home on Lake Moses in Brandon, MN.  In the winter months, they enjoy vacationing at their home in Henderson, NV.

Norbert and MaryAnn have eight children who live within 30 miles of their Inver Grove Heights home.

And here are the fourteen great grandchildren ranging in age from 11 years old to 3 weeks old.   The pictures are shown by family.

Mary Ann is retired and enjoys gardening and fishing when she in not cooking or baking.

Norbert is also retired.  He enjoys meeting his buddies for coffee on a daily basis. He also enjoys staying involved with the sod and landscaping business.   Norbert remembers when cutting, rolling and stacking sod, used to be done by hand.  Now they have automated machinery for these jobs.

Orris and Judy (Klimek) Schjei

I was born in the farm house on the Schjei family farm south of Brandon MN, which is now known as Long Lake Lodge.  I helped with the farming, attended district # 82 country school  and Brandon High School.

In 1960 I married Judy Klimek of Alexandria.  Our children were born while we lived on the farm,  which I operated until 1968. After attending Alexandria Technical College for accounting, I worked at Ludke & Co/Henry's Foods for nearly 40 years.

These pictures were Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2011

Dennis got his pilot's license at age fifty and flew small aircraft for twenty-three years.

Chris keeps very busy at the Brandon History Center.
Keeping track of the 10,000 plus pictures on our computer is memory therapy.

Dennis shares a ham radio station  in our basement with son Pat.  He contacts fellow hams in all the corners of the earth.  Keeps him busy when Chris is sitting at the sewing machine.

We are counting the days until the class reunion.
